Recent Accomplishments
Over the past few days, we engaged with esteemed institutions including High Tech Academy (HTA), New Generation School (NGS), and the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
HTA warmly received us on Tuesday, where we presented our research program and assessed interest. They were knowledgeable and passionate about education, giving us helpful advice for our roadmap. Following a productive discussion, we toured the facilities, seeing student projects and the dynamic learning environment, including engaging with student activities such as trampolining, showcasing HTA’s progressive teaching methods and technological integration.
The following day we had a similar congregation at the New Generation School, where we met with decision makers and a few of their most dedicated primary school teachers to discuss our research program. Hearing from teachers about what they would and would not like to see in our platform was enriching and rewarding. We extend our gratitude for their contribution amidst their end-of-year commitments. We then explored the school’s impressive facilities, ranging from comprehensive sports amenities to art studios, affirming NGS’s commitment to holistic education.
Later in the day, we met with representatives from UNESCO, Nurbek Teleshaliyev and Meirgul Alpysbayeva, an esteemed opportunity to share our platform’s vision with leaders in education. UNESCO’s guidance on potential pathways forward and their willingness to offer support were deeply appreciated, further solidifying our commitment to advancing educational initiatives.
Exploring Almaty
We took advantage of the beautiful weather and decided to take a half-day break. Accompanied by students from Alma U, we headed to Modeu for a hike in Almaty’s mountains. We climbed all 842 steps to reach a dam and lookout point, enjoying the stunning view of the valley. Afterward, we strolled along the path to the hot springs and café, where we relaxed before heading back. It was a remarkable experience, and we’re grateful to Alma U for making it memorable.
