At Save Tuba, every day is an opportunity to learn, connect, and move closer to our vision of sustainable impact. Today was a shining example of how meaningful partnerships and cultural experiences shape our journey.
We kicked off our day with a meeting with Evgeny Mukhamedzhanov, whose expertise proved invaluable as we refined our sustainable business model. Evgeny’s advice challenged us to think more broadly about the value we can create for all our stakeholders—ensuring that our mission is not just impactful, but also enduring.

Afterward, Evgeny graciously gave us a tour of ECOHUB, a vibrant center for environmental innovation. Seeing ECOHUB’s initiatives in action was inspiring and reinforced the importance of collaboration in driving real change.
Our next stop was a call with CareC, where we spoke with Valeriya Orlova about potential partnership and funding opportunities. While monetary support wasn’t available at this time, CareC offered to advertise Save Tuba on their website and connect us with their extensive network of schools and contacts within UNESCO. This generous support opens new doors for outreach and impact, especially as we look to expand our educational programs.
The afternoon brought another highlight: a meeting with Ainar Nurgaliyev, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development and ESG. Ainar not only connected us to Amina, the Head of Recruitment at AlmaU, who offered to reach out to schools like High Tech Academy on our behalf, but also provided valuable contacts to help us launch our pilot program. Whether it’s connecting with more schools or gathering feedback from parents, Ainar’s support is helping us lay the groundwork for a successful launch.

After a quick dinner at headquarters, our team capped off the day with an unforgettable visit to the Abay Opera House. We watched “Кыз Жібек,” a classic Kazakh opera composed by Yevgeny Brusilovsky in 1934. Based on a beloved epic poem, the opera tells the poignant story of Kyz Zhibek and Tolegen—two lovers whose fate is sealed by betrayal and tribal strife. The performance was a breathtaking blend of Western operatic form and Kazakh folk tradition, reminding us of the rich cultural heritage we are privileged to experience and learn from.

Today’s journey was a testament to the power of partnership, the importance of community, and the inspiration that comes from embracing local culture. As we build new bridges and share new stories, we’re more excited than ever for what’s ahead.
Thank you for following Save Tuba’s journey. Together, we’re creating lasting impact—one connection, one story, and one day at a time.
