Strengthening Partnerships and Shaping the Future of Save Tuba in Kazakhstan

Over the past week, our Save Tuba team has made meaningful strides in advancing our mission of sustainability education through powerful conversations with some of Kazakhstan’s most respected academic institutions and changemakers.

We had the privilege of sitting down with Shalkar Amanzholovich, Dean of the School of Management at Almaty Management University (AlmaU), where we discussed the future of Save Tuba and the critical steps needed to bring it into Kazakh classrooms. Dean Amanzholovich expressed enthusiasm about the potential of Save Tuba to enrich the academic experience for students and teachers alike. He encouraged us to allow AlmaU’s faculty and students to “taste the app” firsthand, offering valuable feedback to strengthen its usability and educational value.

He also offered insightful guidance on our next steps: finalizing our business model, after which he will personally review and provide feedback. A key takeaway from our conversation was that traditional subscription models are less effective in Kazakhstan’s education sector; instead, we should consider public sector strategies such as government tenders to scale impact. He also encouraged us to elevate our visibility through social media, amplifying our voice in the sustainability and EdTech space.

At the International Information Technology University (IITU), we explored exciting possibilities for local development support. We met with Zhannura Manapbayeva, Head of Sustainable Development, along with students Alima and Armanzhan, who are passionate about merging technology and climate action.

Together, we discussed how IITU’s student technical team could contribute to Save Tuba’s growth by working on app enhancements and ongoing technical development. This partnership not only supports local innovation but also empowers students to be directly involved in sustainability solutions.

We also met with the incredible Sholpan Tazabek, who offered her support in connecting Save Tuba with her network of private schools across Kazakhstan. She has generously agreed to help organize a teacher-focused presentation, where we will share an in-depth overview of the Save Tuba program and open opportunities for schools to join as pilot partners.

This presentation will be a vital step in expanding our reach, ensuring that educators understand how Save Tuba works, what students will gain, and how they can integrate it seamlessly into existing curricula.

The momentum is strong, and the support is growing. As we continue refining our business model, strengthening technical capabilities, and preparing for our upcoming presentations, we’re more excited than ever about the future of Save Tuba in Kazakhstan.

We are grateful to every educator, administrator, and student who has taken the time to meet with us. Together, we are laying the foundation for a more environmentally conscious generation—one classroom at a time.

Stay tuned for more updates, and be sure to follow our journey on social media as we bring Save Tuba to life across Kazakhstan!
